MORE INFO

Perhaps one of the most enduring and effective ministries of Diamond Hill, our women utilize the resources of “Embrace,” a ministry of the North Carolina Baptist State Convention. Through Embrace’s threefold emphases of Evangelism, Discipleship, and Missions, our women are actively engaged in numerous ministries that seek to meet a variety of needs within our own community, across the state, nationally, and globally. Among these are the Iredell County Adopt-a School program and CEF’s Good News Club at East Elementary School. Diamond Hill is also very active through our women’s ministry in our local support of the Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC). Additionally, our women participate in the South Yadkin Baptist Association’s annual Fair Ministry and Toy Store ministries. Our women also lead in our annual church-wide participation with Operation Christmas Child, The SBC’s Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong Offering. We consider our women’s ministry an integral part of the overall ministry of Diamond Hill in that they regularly provide opportunities for the church to be engaged in fulfilling the Great Commission through numerous and varied ministries. Aside from this “outward ministry” our women also provide an “inward ministry” to the women of our church through Bible Studies, Prayer, and fellowship. The women of Embrace meet on the first Wednesday of each month to gather around a light meal for a time of fellowship. This is followed by a devotional time, prayer, and planning sessions for upcoming missions projects. Our women also offer occasional, church-wide, mutli-week women’s studies, Prayer Walks in our community, and have organized the MAP ministry (Mothers at Prayer) to cover Diamond Hill’s families with prayer. We invite you to join our women at their next meeting to learn more about how you can be involved in one or more of these exciting opportunities to minister to others.
