Let the Scriptures Speak Adult Discipleship
5:30pm – 6:30pm
Your invited to join us beginning on April 23, Sunday evening, at 5:30 PM, Through May 28, as we take our questions to the Scriptures in search of answers. In my interactions with Diamond Hill members and as well as others outside of the membership, I am often asked questions which, with limited time, I attempt to answer from the Scriptures. Some of these answers are relatively clear in the Scriptures, some are not so clear and require a much more diligent search of the Scriptures. This discipleship opportunity, we hope will provide both a platform for the questions you may have, and the time to search the scriptures for answers. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, we hope it will serve to acclimate us to the habit of turning to the Scriptures for answers to life's questions....The difficult ones and the more everyday, common ones. It will also serve to allow for a forum for you to ask the questions that you have that are not often addressed in sermons or Sunday School lessons. In short, the subject(s) of the class will be determined by your questions, and the textbook will be the Bible. As was mentioned in my announcement Sunday morning, we recognize that every question may not have a specific answer in the Bible, nor do we approach a question assuming that we have the answer within ourselves, but we are confident that the Bible offers counsel for every question. It is this counsel that we seek, and trust that you desire. If you would like to ask a question which can be dealt with in these classes, please submit hat question as early as possible this week and the weeks prior to each class, via email to me personally (email@example.com) or to the church office (firstname.lastname@example.org) You can also simply write out your question and submit it to me or to the office or to one of your Elders. You are welcome to and we prefer that you identify yourself, but this isn't required. The questions can be general or specific, Biblical or practical.
